PROFILE

18 years experience as a Multi Media developer within the higher educational and commercial digital design field, specialised in interface design, usability and accessibility. Acted as Subject Matter Expert, meeting with higher management and liaising with programming team to design and create interactive learning material, from conception to production.

Self motivated, with strong initiative and creative skills, with the ability to think out of the box and brain storm new ideas and exploring the boundaries of media design. Enjoys working within a team environment, with training and project management experience, and the ability to inspire team members. Programming skills include C, C++, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

Worked to initialise and maintain a small business in garden ornament manufacturing made from plaster and resin.

Designing and programming websites mainly using Dreamweaver with Javascript, HTML and CSS but also incorporating web builders such as Shopify, Squarespace, Big Cartel and iWeb:

Working in a technical capacity on a variety of multimedia projects and AV installations including:

“CORANDERRK” ABORGINAL HISTORY PROJECT
(2009)
Designed and implemented an informational CD ROM documenting the spoken testimonies of aboriginal descendants of the Coranderrk Aboriginal Station.
Designed an engaging and attractive playback environment that supplemented each interview with visual references and additional content. This project provided an invaluable archive of spoken Aboriginal history used as a cultural resource within the Aboriginal and educational communities.



“LPW501” PROJECT
(2003)
Created a promotional subject CD ROM used for Swinburne's creative writing course, showcasing a series of 12 interviews with writers from different categories including music, programming, business, creative writing and other commercial areas.


“G21” UPGRADE
(1999 - 2002)
Upgraded the “G21 – Global Cultural Dreaming”; an innovative supplementary CD ROM created for Swinburne University's media, literature and film' department. This initiative was sponsored through a grant from the Committee for Advancement of University Teaching (CAUT).


“MASTER OF ARTS - WRITING” PROMOTIONAL CD-ROM

“G21” SET CONSTRUCTION and DESIGN
(1997)
Project involved working through the approval process, meeting with faculty members, gathering course materials, creating design and technical specifications, screen mockups and story boards. The final design was based upon a 'virtual museum' interface.

“ROCK, SCISSORS, PAPER”
(1996)
Designed and implemented an interactive computer program exploring the relationship between images, symbol and text. This project was developed with a grant from CAUT and was deemed the best project created under the CAUT grants for that year. Program initially written in C then rewritten in Lingo for Macromedia Director
